MY ANSWERED PRAYERS!!Its amazing to hear from God with all that He answers! Not long ago, before the school holidays ended, I was praying for my dear friend pearlynn, that she would be able to get to know God once again and have a heart to want to be better. The following night, I recieved a msg from her asking me for help and I asked her what could I help her with and she replied that she wanted to be a better girl and she even READ THE BIBLE! Even though it is only 5 pages but it's already SOMETHING for a non-believer! Amazing ehs? Not only did He send pearlynn back to ask me for help, I recieved a msg from my cute little girl from the odyssey camp last dec and I just recieved so much of a shock! haha! Just recently, pearlynn became quite sick and I didn't think much of it, neither did I pray for her. Then I prayed for her one night and the next day she came back to school when she told me she wouldn't! I asked her how she was feeling and she said that she felt a lot better and there was no more fever! I can't tell you people reading how much I've seen God can do just for one little and I mean really little prayer!Never under estimate the power of prayer and most importantly GOD'S POWER!!

14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine. Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them.
LOVE!
Ok, so I've been thinking about that a lot these days. Not just the normal love between friends or family, or even the make-your-heart-melt kind of love, but thinking about another kind of love. God's love! :)
And I just realised something while thinking just now. This love that takes away all fear. And I mean
ALL FEAR.
I don't fear death, because I know a greater life awaits me in Heaven.
I don't fear the future, because I know God has it all planned for me.
I don't fear the dark, because I know I have victory in Christ.
I don't fear rejection, because I know God always loves, and He always provides people to love.
I don't fear hurt, because I know that no matter what I have comfort in Him.
I don't fear failure, because I know my God will pick me up again.
And that's the most beautiful thing ever, just knowing that Jesus died for me just so that I could have a meaningful life. And He died because He chose to.
The nails didn't hold Jesus on the cross. It was love. And that's enough to make me want to love Him in return, and love everyone else too :)

How are you all doing?
Hi everyone this is my first time writing on this blog, and I probably will write longer here than my own blog. Haha. This post is just a short reminder for us to hold to our commitments and persevere (remember the Commisioning Night?). I know that it's very hard for us to keep our promises and resolutions, to ourselves (especially to ourselves) and to others around us. We tend to compromise and bit by bit, we slide back into our old ways. Blink! Nothing's changed. So I want to just share a verse that will encourage us. It's taken from Proverbs 3: 5-6:
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, on your own intelligence rely not;
6 in all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths.
Also another verse from Hebrews 12:11:
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
And a last verse from Galatians 6:9:
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Now you may ask, why put all these verses for? Actually, these verses are very appropriate for our situation. Nowadays there are alot of distractions like MSN and the like (even blogs, ironic huh). We will definitely fall many times, but if we pick ourselves up and run again, we will eventually reach the finish line. All this comes only with the help of the Holy Spirit of course, so it's important that we do our daily QT. I must admit that I find it very hard to do it regularly.
So! After all that talk (eh it's long for me loh), this is the gist (whew): I challenge myself and all of us to set aside at least 10 min a day for QT. It's not a long time, in fact it's quite short, but I know that everyone is busy right... Anyway, just fix a regular time for QT everyday, and stick to it. I can empathise with you if you fail, because I've already failed many times! Lol.
Wow...I've written the longest ever in a blog. Ok then until next time! God bless!

Simple Pleasures
It's sad how people always have this belief that you need to be rich to "enjoy life" and be happy. And it is equally sad how some people despise the simple pleasures of life.
Learn it.
It'll free you to do what you really want to do with your life.
(without getting yourself entangled in the wild goose chase)

Missions Camp 2007
KPC Youth Missions Camp was a valuable experience. For 4 days we had a routine I could certainly get used to: lesson, reflection and discussion in the morning, study time the whole afternoon, worship, lesson and discussion at night. Very wholesome, good for the soul. And I believe this camp has changed all of us in one way or another. I'm quite thankful for my discussion group; learnt a lot from them.
Powerful messages brought back:
-We often see the Cross from the crowd; Jesus wants us to see the crowd from the Cross. See with His eyes of compassion, and urgency. [John 4:34-38]
-Love takes no notice of conditions.
-Evangelism is true love in action. Those who bring the Gospel of Love must come with love. The church today must have love, not mere enthusiasm. When we love, neither success nor failure matters, only love. [Rev 2:1-4]
-We are "zeros", unworthy, lousy; when we stand beside Jesus, He as the number one puts value to every zero. 1000000000 etc....
-Jesus doesn't choose us because of what we are, but because of what He makes from us. [Luke 6:12-13]
-When we obey God, the "tide comes in" (represents the Holy Spirit), it moves the immovable, cures the incurable, and makes the impossible possible. [John 14:12]
-For God to supply our needs, we must have needs in the first place. We have to be emptied, hopeless, useless, acknowledging we can't do anything.
-Faith transfers the power of God to where it is needed. We are not generators, but conductors. The lower our resistance to the Word of God, the higher the operational power of God (physics, anyone?). [1 Cor 4:20]
-Faith is not a feeling. Act in accordance to what we believe, not according to what we fear/feel. [Mark 5:36]
-Faith is not just for transplanting mountains, it is for living. It is a lifestyle. [Matt 17:20]
-Anybody can believe God when God is already moving. Real faith acts when God does not seem to be moving. [2 Cor 5:7]
-God fills as many vessels as we bring to Him. He works in the measure we use.
-The person who keeps seeking God's will is overrun by the person who does it. i.e. as the famous saying goes, "to walk on water, get out of the boat."
-Preach the Gospel and the Gospel happens.
-We can gamble on God's help. [2 Tim 2:14]
-The trouble that comes, when God puts us where He wants us, is a miracle in the making.
-Humility is the key to guarding our hearts' door.
-Millions of people never open the Bible, but Christians are an open book to them. [2 Cor 3:1-3]It's not about being good, because even non-Christians can be good; it's about love and humility. [Philippians 2:5-8]
-Faith is faith in God's never-changing character, not faith in a miracle happening.
-Prayer must be in tune with God's will. When we don't know His will, ask anyway and let God decide how to act. [John 14:13-14]
-Intercession is lifted to God on the wings of praise and thanksgiving. [Psalms] -To be prayerless is to be defenseless.
-A true intercessor is moved by concern and compassion. God is moved when our hearts, not just our mouths, are moved. Revival starts with intercession.
-An intercessor must have some sort of standing with both parties; he must know both man and God. We know the mind of Christ not for mere information, but to pray about it. [Romans 8:26]
-The privilege of calling Creator God our Father cost God His Son. [Matt 6:9a, John 1:12]
-God is King [Isaiah 6]. He's not just there to do what we want; every part of our lives is under His reign and belongs to Him.
-The Gospel has the power to transform this earth into the Kingdom of heaven. The Lord's Prayer is a missionary prayer. [Matt 6:10]
-God doesn't need great people for great tasks; He wants obedient people. We obey, and the task makes us great. God makes people equal to the task. We inherit the tools that go with the job.
-The only certainty of a Christian living the Great Commission is that God is with us. We can be content with that. [Heb 13:5]
-The solution to fear is not bravery, but trust in God. Faith leads to righteouness [Romans 1:17], righteousness leads to boldness before God. [James 5:16b]
-Nothing besides God's Word gives 100% assurance. Meditate on God's Word; there is a difference between knowing the Bible and letting God speak to us through it. [Josh 1:7-8]
-Don't keep waiting for "the right time". Today is the day of salvation.
-To avoid being a stumbling block, love. [2 Cor 6:3]
-Endurance, or rather, perseverance, is not passive but active, refusing to be daunted, no looking back. It glorifies God as He gives us the strength to endure what is not endurable. [2 Cor 6:4-5]
-Truly great people may not be recognised by others or themselves, but God's greatness is within them. [2 Cor 6:8-10] God defends them; He raises up the humble and unworthy. [James 4:6]
-This is faithfulness: we do something just because God wants us to do it, not because we think it will be effective.
-Don't keep asking for God to be with us. Don't beg God to do what He already promised He would surely do. [Matt 28:20b]
-"Jesus the Baptist" baptises with fire. Quarrels and doubts are burned out by this flame from above. The Holy Spirit enables us to charge the gates of hell and prevail against them. [Acts 1:8]
-God goes with go-ers, works with workers. We have to get up off our comfortable chairs, saying like Isaiah, "Here I am, send me."
-"One life will soon be past; only what's done for Christ will last."[Philippians 1:21, 3:7-9]. "Every heart with Christ is a missionary; every heart without Christ is a mission field."
Hope those who went for the trip to Malaysia had a great time ministering and being ministered to. Blog about your experiences of being blessed by God please! =)

First Time
HELLOOO EVERYONEEE!!! This is my first time posting here and this is just a little something that I want to share and feel free to share about your first times too! I ts a good time to share really! I would most like to hear from you all as well!=)SO HERE GOES:When was the first time you spoke really nicely to your parents about something you felt but he or she was actually angry at a first comment. Today's my first, and PRAISE GOD! Because on usual days I DO NOT even speak nicely to them! Imagine that my parent was actually really really angry and a comment my other parents made and I just said, "Can I say something?" and pointed out whatever was said by that parent, I also agreed to it and that he or she need not take it so offensively. Isn't that just like amazing? I never felt better after making my point, because before that I was gettting offended by the tone of my parent. And I was thinking to myself about this parent not being a good example and carrying out what he or she said, instead he or she just gets mad. By the way, if you are wondering why I am not saying who is because I don't want to let people think that I am making them think that my parent is bad. Now I understand why talking nicely stops someone from being able to get too mad. After what I said, my parent stopped sating things in an angry tone and could not say anything further. What can I do but thank You,What can I do but give my life to You.These words come from my heart to God even though it comes from a song. There's not need for you to get all angry and over yourself when someone passes a comment about you, because all that they are trying to do is to help you improve! They're your human mirror and when you rebuke them or refuse to listen to them, you would no longer have a good friend or companion that would ever want to be truthful to you. So don't regret when you lose them 'cause you are the one who gave up having such a good friend. As people always type in their meaningful messages to friends that GOOD FRIENDS ARE HARD TO FIND!I need to learn how to accept my bad points too. Everyone does, some do it better than the others but why don't you think that this way you not only improve in your character, you also help your friend in encouraging them that their words are taken seriously. =D IN THE FAMILY OF GOD, WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY AND WE NEED TO HELP SPUR EACH OTHER ON! BE IT GOOD OR BAD COMMENTS SAID IN A NICE WAY OR NOT. IT'S ALL FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!=)**btw sorry if I've confused you. HAHA. 'cause I was probably too happy when I was typing it. Anyway, the main point is that we should not be too quick to show our anger but instead think twice about the way to say it so that you feel better. Like what my dad said in his msg that we need to help each other by expressing our feelings instead of speaking behind each others' backs. Also, what i said about the 'human mirror' I think that it is really true so lets help each other in telling each other what we think is wrong so that we help someone improve!=D Thats all folks!TAKE CARE!
Passage from 2 Corinthians 4, for your encouragement.
'Treasures in Jars of Clay 1Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. 12So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, 14because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. 15All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.' [NIV]Or if you prefer a version that is easier to understand... (are you prepared for this?)
'Trial and Torture 1-2Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we're not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times. We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don't maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don't twist God's Word to suit ourselves. Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God. 3-4If our Message is obscure to anyone, it's not because we're holding back in any way. No, it's because these other people are looking or going the wrong way and refuse to give it serious attention. All they have eyes for is the fashionable god of darkness. They think he can give them what they want, and that they won't have to bother believing a Truth they can't see. They're stone-blind to the dayspring brightness of the Message that shines with Christ, who gives us the best picture of God we'll ever get. 5-6Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we're proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, "Light up the darkness!" and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful. 7-12If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us. As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us—trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus' sake, which makes Jesus' life all the more evident in us. While we're going through the worst, you're getting in on the best! 13-15We're not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, "I believed it, so I said it," we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God's glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise! 16-18So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever.' [The Message]
